Brianne, David and I headed up to Glencoe to look at scrambling and mountaineering skills – building on David’s evening the other week when we looked at trad leading. It was very wet heading up, but dried out nicely later on. We climbing the Zig Zags and Easy Route on Gearr Aonach and looked at setting up belays; direct belays; using rock spikes as direct belays; lowering and abseil retreats; and generally how to look after yourself on scrambling/easy rock climbing terrain
