2021 plans – Looking ahead to the Winter

For everyone, it’s been a challenging 2020. I’ve managed to run several rock climbing courses in late summer – but with things rapidly changing in the Autumn and travel restrictions in force, I’ve been less active again.

Looking ahead I’m hoping to offer a full winter programme, however residential courses and shared travel and accommodation may be out of the question.

The key to climbing in this COVID era is flexibility and adaptability – something we as Mountaineering Instructors are great at. We’re great at managing risk and adapting our teaching, coaching and guiding to new and constantly changing environments.

We’ve adapted our methods to enable us to physically distance. We choose routes and venues to minimise our exposure, avoid crowds and maximise our time on the hill.

Course on offer this coming winter:

Winter Climbing

Mountaineering – Winter and “summer”

Winter Hillwalking Skills

Staff Training and Technical advice

All my courses and days are bespoke and, more than ever, flexible and can fit around your needs and whatever the prevailing conditions – be that ice, weather or COVID dictate!

See you on the hill

Davy
