Autumn rock

The only dry bit on Troutdale Pinnacle
The only dry bit on Troutdale Pinnacle
The first snows have arrived in the highlands, but we’re still out rock climbing. Last week Andrew and I had a great day at Dunkeld and did (most of) the Girdle Traverse of Polney – makes you feel a bit strange going sideways instead of up and down. We had to finish up in the end as the crag got too busy to keep on going along.

This weekend just gone I was with a group of Explorer Scouts at Kyloe Crag in Northumberland. Despite the grotty forecast and rain we had very productive day climbing and stayed mostly dry day as the crag is very sheltered in places.
