Some pictures from Ben Nevis today.

We ascended ledge route then descended number 4 gully. There was a soft, wet-ish layer on the top of the snow pack that had melted with the sun shining on it, and lots of evidence to day of “sun wheels” and the odd slough,although the snow pack was mostly pretty stable.

Lovely day of weather -freezing level was rising during the day and you could see the rime melting and the odd noise of falling ice.
