Excellent climbing conditions in Corrie Snec of Northern Corries despite the strong winds and mild temperatures. The freezing level was above the corrie floor, but there was excellent hard snow and ice – however milder temperatures and rain since then will have softened things up.

Stuart and Ian climbed Crotched Gully but took “more spicy” lines to make it into a good grade II with sections of interesting mixed climbing and good ice in places.
