Steph and Lizzie are away to do their mountain leader assesment next week and wanted to go over some security on steep ground. We went up to Caerketton Hill in the Pentlands to practice rope work and anchor selection, and also have a quick review of their navigation. Good luck for next week!

Deathcap

Glenn and I visited Earnsheugh today and climbed Deathcap and Pterodactyt.  Both three star classic routes with excellent situations

We discovered that we both had had lentils for tea last night.

Davy & Lee had a fine Summer evening’s climbing at Back Bowden Doors and Bowden Doors. Windy which meant no midge, and sunny till 10 o ‘clock.
At Back Bowden Doors Davy led “Holly Tree Corner” and “Wall and Crack” (pictured, 69 dude) and Lee led Golden Stairs (direct start) and Original Route. At Bowden Doors Davy led “The Scoop” (pictured).
