Mild and Wild on Beinn a’Chrulasite

Seb on the Pink Rib

Wet and windy day on Beinn a’Chrulasite today with the Falkirk High Tops team and Euan “Edinburgh Euan” Whittaker. We climbed Pink Rib, a fine Grade 1 rock-scramble, then on to the summit of this Corbett practicing navigation skills.

Bucchy Mostly a wet day with some real winds at times, although we got a view of the Buchy briefly.

Colder weather forecast later today, but no sign of it coming +13C in Edinburgh just now!

Have a look at Euan “Edinburgh Euan” Whittaker and Paul “Glasgow Paul” Warnock’s site: www.climbnow.co.uk

Aonach Eagach

Andrew “The Count” Crooks set me this picture of the Aonach Eagach the weekend before last – looks in good “sporting” condition. Unsettled few days ahead, but a forecast of cold conditions next week. Don’t pack away those axes yet!

Rock and Rain

Filed under: General post — davy @ 9:28 pm

Mostly wet weekend -Andrew’s just off a course at Glenmore Lodge and has had a wild week in snow-holes and on expedition. Couldn’t face the gales and rain on the hills, so headed south today to Kyloe Crag for some climbing – excellent day on dry rock on Northumberland’s finest sand-bags!
