Brianne, David and I headed up to Coire Creagach of Sgairneach Mhor to look at mountaineering skills – moving on snow with axes and crampons. We also looked at snow belays – digging bucket seats and horizontal axes.
Interesting animal traps on the walk in.
A colder start led to a mild day with strong winds, drizzle then rain – there was some old, hard snow hanging in there that gave a good day out.
Colder weather and snow forecast for the coming week ahead! Winter is not over yet!
