I was on am avalanche awareness training course ran by Keith Miller of the Scottish Avalanche Information Service  and organised by the Chris Walker Trust.

We spent the day in the class room and on the hill discussing and examining the factors that go into making an avalanche forecast and decision making using the Be Avalanche Aware  process and protocols SAIS have launched. We also looked at assessing and managing the risk from a professional and personal point of view – sharing and learning from the other outdoor professionals on the course, too.

Was a blustery and sometimes wild day on the hill.
