Andrew and I were going to drive up to climb on Creagan cha-no in the Northern Cairngorm but couldn’t face another hour’s drive when we got to Drumochter so we decided to visit Coire Creagach.
We had a great day on some short but fun turfy icy lines. We managed to find the chock Lee left there in December 2007 and also see a huge eagle soar out of the coire.
There were large cornices on the corrie rim but the snow was hard and icy. There had been a cornice collapse which had triggered a slide which you can make out in the photo below.
